the peaceful, nice Malaysia exist only in the east coast peninsular(pahang, kelantan, terenganu) & Borneo. the west coast peninsular are like ordinary America, raping, robbery, and many other crime. i suggest you stay out of them, especially KL, selangor, perak, and penang. if you want to see culture, go to east coast. lots of cheap, local fruits. if you want to see nature, go to borneo(sabah, sarawak) or Cameron Highland(a small state of pahang, fully dedicated to agriculture). there r a lot of national park in borneo. or perhap you want hike up mount Kinabalu, the tallest peak in southeast asia(around 4000m) in sabah.

as a bonus, east coast peninsular is cool in dec becos of the monsoon. it is very pleasant, the sun is shrouded in a layer of cloud, occasional light rain, no sweat, no sunburn. you’ll gonna love it in here.

I strongly recommend going to Myanmar, it’s not dangerous at all. I wonder if Nadine has ever been there. It’s right that there’s a lot of political crap going on but as a tourist you won’t see any of that. For a great Asia experience and some of the most beautiful sights to be seen in Asia (and even in the world) go to Myanmar.

The cheapest is taking the budget trip by Oasis which goes to Hong Kong. From Hong Kong, you can make your way to Thailand: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai back to Bangkok or Phuket. Then Vietnam or Cambodia.

Or from Hong Kong, fly to Malaysia then to the Philippines then back to Hong Kong for your return flight to the UK.

Better book early and plan ahead, I suggest you buy and pay your airfare and hotel accomodations as early as August.

Travel light and just shop in the countries that you choose to go to. Watch out for the airline baggage limitations, which are usually 20kilos or even less.

    Be safe and have fun!
